WOMEN’S DAYS CELEBRATION
Women’s day Celebrated at PCK Social Welfare Center. 500 women from 51 SHGs groups participated. The women put up cultural program through songs and dance. They shared about their experiences and how they benefited being in SHG Groups.
SHGs GROUPS
Fifyty one SHG groups meet monthly The women share their joys and struggles which they go through daily lives. Awareness is given to women to stop child marriage, drop out students and moral values and family counseling. The women were empowered and supported avail various government schemes.
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
World Environment Day they was celebrated. Three hundred fruit bearing trees (butter fruits, plums and Peach) sapplings were planted at PCK campus.
TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT
Tribal children are motivated to complete their Higher secondary education. They also helped to get employment. One of the student Thavamani from Perungkadu after completing 12th std she learned tailoring skills and she is earning good income and supporting their family.
FEDERATION MEETING
Federation group member meets once a month. They are representatives of all SHG groups. The staff gives training on livelihood programs and they encourage them to start income generation programme. Ten of them are involved in livelihood programs and earning resonable income to support their families.
